Part Number: AAM-203
This Kentucky pistol was influenced by the folk art style of Hacker Martin. The pistol is stocked in black walnut and trimmed in polished brass furniture. The straight octagon barrel is blued, and the L&R John Bailes flint lock is finished bright. Hand assembled by contemporary builder Kenneth Lincavage this pistol is new, unfired.
The 9-1/2" straight octagon Oregon Barrel Works barrel has been draw filed smooth and finished to a blue with a gray undertone. The mirror bright .50 caliber bore is cut rifled with a fast 1 in 20" twist appropriate for a patched round ball. The barrel is fitted with a semi buck horn rear sight and a nickel silver blade front sight.
Finished bright to contrast the barrel, the L&R flintlock has a crisp action and a well hardened frizzen. When using our best 5/8" knapped English gun flints, #FLINT-ENG-5, the lock will throw a shower of sparks into the pan. A stainless steel vent liner is well centered and positioned at the top edge of the pan to provide best ignition.
