This antique English pistol features an 8" brass barrel, walnut stock, brass furniture and percussion conversion lock. This pistol is the sort commonly found on the commercial market and used as trade pistols.
The 8" brass, octagon barrel is smooth bore with a .54" bore and is retained by two steel pins. The 4-1/2" lock is hand engraved and marked 'J N JONES & CO.' Originally flint, the lock was converted to percussion during its working life. The lock is still functional.The walnut stock has numerous dents and scratches and a few small cracks in the muzzle but is in overall good condition.
